Gaia Innovation Ltd builds positive relationships between employers, education and academia to inspire and inform young people to equip themselves with the skills necessary for the future. We are taking positive action to address the UK skills deficit.
Our clients are employers and universities and together with our network of schools we inspire young people, particularly girls, to equip themselves with the skills needed for the jobs of the future, and to aim for careers in advanced technology growth sectors. We inform the students about the different career pathways: apprenticeships, higher education and direct employment.
Our “Connect-Try-Apply” model builds relationships between employers and young people.
Our business purpose is inspired by the research undertaken by the Education and Employers charity that found that at least 4 positive interactions with an employer improves attainment levels and also leads to a child being 86% less likely to become a NEET, and achieve 22% higher future earnings. The UK National Careers Strategy now recommends that each school provides 7 positive employer interactions per pupil, and our Inspiration for Innovation and Search for A Star Programmes are the vehicles through which this can be achieved.
